Joe Brush presents summer research on the North American Wren

This past Monday, Joe presented his research findings along with a select group of OWU students who also performed summer research studies at the OWU Student Symposium.

This summer Joe interned with Dr. Reichard, an ornithologist and evolutionary biologist here at OWU. His project focused on studying aggressive behavior and hormone levels in two species of wrens that are native to North America. They have completed the behavioral analysis, and now we will continue by analyzing the blood plasma collected to determine the levels of testosterone and corticosterone, two hormones related to aggressive behavior.

Very cool research, with more updates to come - stay tuned!
